I've been debating whether to share my newsletter on my blog. On one hand, I value the anonymity of this space and feel weird about self-promotion. But on the other, the primary goal of the newsletter is to encourage the mobilization of people who aren't sure how to engage. To do that, people have to see it.

For full transparency, there is a secondary goal which is not limited exclusively to the newsletter, but encompasses different kinds of writing I dedicate myself to. (While I'm breaking the anonymity, see also GovTrack's White House Tracker.) This secondary goal is to quit my corporate soul-suck and commit myself full-time to a career as a writer. I find meaning and purpose in writing about what matters to me. It's the role I feel I was meant to play most in this world. As my life evolves, it seems to make more and more sense that I pursue it to a professional degree.
