I Could Do This
I spent close to 4.5 hours today working on an article I'd been putting off. It's probably done, but I'm going to give it at least a couple hours and then go back over it before I submit it for editing.
In, let's say 5 hours since I'm going to take a final sweep through it, I'll have earned roughly as much money as I make in a full day at my "real job", and at far less cost to my soul. It's a reminder that I'm not asking too much—that I can do the work, and that it can provide what I need. Right now, it's limited. I can only get so many hours in per month, and it's not nearly enough to sustain me. But I feel so invigorated on days like this when I get to spend a day doing what I love. It's a reminder to keep pushing; to send that dang portfolio out; to maintain the hope that it'll happen soon.
