I've always been a big reader, mostly of horror/suspense-thriller/mystery novels. Dean Koontz was my all-time favorite for like a decade. Before him, R.L. Stine had won my heart with Goosebumps.
A few years ago I realized how much I had to learn about the world before I could make a difference in it. I committed to reading more non-fiction, which turned into reading exclusively non-fiction. But that actually just caused me to read less, in general. Which is LAAAAME! So if I DNF a book, understand that it's not an indication that the book is bad, necessarily (though, maybe). If reading one thing is keeping me from reading in general, it's on to the next. Sometimes the subject is too heavy or overwhelming. Sometimes it's just not my taste. Book reviews aren't really my thing, I don't think. But here, I'll list the books I read this year and if I feel like yapping about them, I will! :)
