All Masks Are Not Equal
A message to ICE agents:
Some masks are symbolic—a way to hide our differences.
Some are protective, to shield us from illnesses.
But your mask—
Your mask is a weapon held up by the hate in your sneer;
donned to petrify the hearts of strangers with fear.
You cover your face with fabric, thin as your integrity,
to commit crimes against humanity in the name of your supremacy.
But a time will come when the masks fall off.
They'll find pride and safety, but a hammer will drop;
your impunity will no longer be swallowed
and you'll beg forgiveness for the orders you followed.
